Studium

Erste Studien in verschiedenen sozialwissenschaftlichen und geisteswissenschaftlichen Fächern u.a. in dem Fachbereichen Philosophie und Sozialwissenschaften an der Freien Universität Berlin, die ich mit dem Magisterexamen (“M.A.”) abschloss, sensibilisierten mich für Fragen der sozialwissenschaftlich orientierten analytischen Psychologie. Ich begann deshalb danach ein Aufbaustudium im Fach Allgemeine Psychologie (Diplom 1984), um dann eine Ausbildung zum Psychoanalytiker anzustreben.

Berufserfahrungen

Nach der beruflichen Tätigkeit in verschiedenen Berliner Kliniken (im vollstationären und teilstationären Bereich) und Beratungsstellen, sowie Weiterbildungen in Paartherapie und Familientherapie, analytischer Psychotherapie und tiefenpsychologisch fundierter Psychotherapie war ich über fünf Jahre als Dozent am Institut für Psychotherapie, Psychoanalyse und Psychosomatik Berlin e.V. tätig. Parallel begann ich meine freiberufliche Tätigkeit als Psychotherapeut in eigener Praxis, die sich seit 20 Jahren am Olivaer Platz in Berlin-Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf befindet.
In meiner langjährigen Berufserfahrung sowohl in Institutionen als auch in eigener Praxis als approbierter Psychologischer Psychotherapeut ist mir neben dem klinische Blick für die jeweilige Beschwerden das Verständnis des Ratsuchenden in seinem sozialen Kontext von Freunden, Liebes-Beziehungen, Familie und Arbeitszusammenhängen das wichtigste Rüstzeug für meine Arbeit.

Meine Arbeit als Psychotherapeut in Berlin

In meiner Arbeit gehe ich immer vom jeweiligen Ratsuchenden aus: seiner konkreten Lebenssituation und seiner komplexen psychisch-leiblichen Situation in sozialen Kontext und in der Arbeitswelt. Ich frage mich immer, was für die Ratsuchenden jeweils von Bedeutung ist, worauf hin sie leben, was für sie Sinn macht.

Methodenübergreifende Psychotherapie

In meiner Arbeit verfolge ich eine methodenübergreifende Psychotherapie, bei der die Bedürfnisse und Ressourcen des jeweiligen Patienten im Mittelpunkt stehen. Zur Anwendung kommt häufig neben der analytischen Psychotherapie (Psychoanalyse) die tiefenpsychologisch fundierte Psychotherapie, die je nach Behandlungsfall ergänzt werden kann durch Entspannungsverfahren, handlungsorientierte und medienorientierte Verfahren (Kunsttherapie, Musiktherapie) oder auch z.B. durch eine systemische Betrachtungsweise der problematischen Situation. Ergänzt werden einzeltherapeutische Verfahren durch Paartherapie, Familientherapie, Gruppentherapie und Supervision von Arbeitsgruppen.

Von der Kassenpraxis zur Privatpraxis

Meine Arbeit in der Praxis begann kassenpsychotherapeutisch. Um ganz für meine Patienten – ohne bürokratischen Ballast – da sein zu können, habe ich vor etwa zehn Jahren begonnen, die Praxis als Privatpraxis zu führen. Dies bedeutet aber nun nicht, dass ich nur noch privatversicherte Patienten und Selbstzahler behandle. Für Mitglieder einer gesetzlichen Krankenkasse bedeutet dies, dass gesetzlich Versicherte im Kostenerstattungsverfahren behandelt werden und zwar genauso wie Privatversicherte oder Selbstzahler. In meiner Praxis werden in Bezug auf Behandlung oder Wartezeiten keine Unterschiede gemacht.

Medienorientierte Verfahren

Aufgrund von langjähriger aktiver Beschäftigung mit Kunst und Musik verwende ich seit Jahren auch Elemente von Kunsttherapie und Musiktherapie in meiner Praxis. Hierbei verbinde ich Formen des freien Malens und der freien Improvisation mit tiefenpsychologischen Ansätzen des Verstehens.

Lösungssorientiertes Personal Coaching als Verbindung von Coaching mit Psychoanalyse

Wenn krankheitswertige Prozesse nicht im Vordergrund stehen, wende ich gerne Formen des Personal Coachings an. Bei dieser primär lösungsorientierten Methode lege ich Wert darauf, dass nicht nur handlungsrelevante und zeitnahe Fragestellungen des Ratsuchenden berücksichtigt werden, sondern auch biographische Elemente in tiefenpsychologischer Betrachtung miteinbezogen werden können. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to?keep the information confidential. Registration
